'Tis the season for giving! There are so many places you and your family can give back this time of year- here are three organizations my family & I always enjoy supporting.
#1. Clark's christmas kids gift drive
My husband & I have been listening to Clark for years now and this year marks year 28 for his annual gift drive. If you aren't familiar with Clark, he hosts a talk show on WSB where he gives all sorts of financial advice- you can check out his website here. Every year he teams up with The Georgia Department of Family & Children's Services and donates hundreds of gifts to foster children in Georgia. It's a really great cause & you can find all of the information here!
#2. The Packaged Good
I have participated in several events here with a friend and through Girl Scouts and it was such a great experience! Based out of Dunwoody, GA The Packaged Good exists to empower kids to give back through decorating and creating personalized care packages for people in need- from our armed forces to the homeless or even hospitalized kids. You can find all of their information & find a way to get involved here.
#3. Hunger Walk
Almost every year for the past 10 years or so my family has participated in the Hunger Walk in downtown Atlanta. We absolutely love it! The walk isn't until March, but it's never a bad time to make a visit to your local food bank- especially around the holidays. Take the kiddos with you to the store and stock up on canned goods & drop them off at the food bank! Click here to find your local food bank.
We have so much to be thankful for- I'd love to hear where you and your family like to give back around this time of year. What new organizations should I check out this year?
